Angela LaFave has enjoyed horses all her life. She grew up in New Hampshire training for low level eventing with Sarah Duclose. At the age of Fifteen Angela became a volunteer at the Russell Animal Hospital, thinking that being a veterinarian was where her life would lead, and continued her employment there for Fifteen years. During this time she enrolled at The University of New Hampshire, in 1993, where she studied Equine Management. While at UNH, Angela joined the UNH Equestrian Team, became a volunteer for their Therapeutic Riding program and continued to follow her eventing hobby with her own horse stabled at UNH.
After graduating with her Equine Management Degree in 1995, Angela managed Yorkfield Farm in Kensington NH. There she was introduced to Polo, Hunts, Jumpers, and continued her growth in Dressage.
After a few years of managing Yorkfield Farm Angela began missing the medical field of animal care and enrolled at the Stratham Tech for Veterinary Technology in 1999. While attending school she continued her employment at the Russell Animal Hospital full time. After graduating from the Stratham Tech Veterinary Technology in 2001 with her Certificate of Veterinary Technician, she began employment at the Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital in the ICU. There she was exposed to Neurology, Surgery, Ophthalmology and Internal Medicine, where there's always room for educational growth.
In 2003 Angela moved to Wellington Florida where she became employed at the Lion Country Safari as a wildlife veterinary technician. There, Angela met Mike Scott who introduced Angela to her passion, Equine Massage Therapy. Mike opened her eyes to a world that combined Angela's two favorite things in life: animals and the medical industry. Angela attended Equine Massage Muscle Therapy School of Mike Scott in 2003 and became certified in Equine Massage Therapy and the Equine Massage Muscle Therapy advanced coarse, a year later in 2004.
In 2006 Angela became certified in Equine Rehab Modules and Myofascial Release I & II, under Ruth Mitchell Golladay, PT, at the Equine Rehab Institute in Loxahatchee, FL. In 2007 Angela became certified in Essentials of Equine Gross Anatomy with Nancy Thompson, DVM at Tufts University.
In 2008, Angela volunteered as a Massage Therapist for the athletes of Alton Bay Half Marathon, the Mooseman Triathlon, and the Timberman Triathlon through Vital Kneads Massage Therapy School.
